Week 5

Wow, what a week. The actual weekdays were really hard, but the amazing weekend I had made up for it.

Part I

1. Monday was a really rough day for me, but it gave time to think about my Savior and all that He has done for me.

2. Went to Pizza Pie Cafe for the first time with my cheer friend Alyssa and her roommates. That place is so good it's dangerous.

3. On Tuesday I woke up at 4:00 AM so that I could meet up with my cheer team at McDonald's for breakfast. After that, we all went to a little "morningside"for all of the competitive sports teams. There was a really great speaker who is being deployed to Afghanistan very soon. I'm super glad I went.

4. I went on a double date and we had a little bonfire. It was super fun! We made dinner and dessert over the fire. I was a little too close to the fire all night, so my legs got super hot and red. You'll see a picture below! When I took my pants off and saw my legs, I totally freaked. Haha.

My school rocks.

I feel like a major jerk because I accidentally cut out one of the girls on the end :( But here's my team!

Part II-Memorial Day Weekend

Now onto the good stuff!! Me and my roommates Elyse, Haley, and Nahiomi went on a spur of the moment trip to Salt Lake City. It was the greatest thing ever.

1. We drew on Elyse's car with window paint, not knowing that it would make the car look super ghetto. You'll see.

2. None of my roommates had ever been to In-N-Out, (I KNOW) so we stopped at one in Centerville, UT and had a real good time. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard in my entire life.

3. Haley's friend Katie and her family were super nice and let us stay with them for the weekend. The first night we went to Katie's work (Frogurt) and hung out there while we waited for her to close.

5. On Saturday we went shopping! We went to Gateway mall in downtown Salt Lake and South Towne Center in South Jordan. I love retail therapy. Oh, we also went to Target!! That's a big deal because there is no Target in Rexburg. Haha.

6. The next day, we went to Park City. I can't get over how pretty it is! (That's where my "adventure" picture was taken.)

7. Katie and my roommates are AWESOME and drove me to Centerville to meet up with my really good friend, Sam. (Thank you SO much guys. It really means a lot! Shout out to them for sitting in the car for an hour so I could spend some time with Sam! You guys are the best!) Long story short, I met Sam at EFY when I was 14 and I hadn't seem him since then. We met up and had a really good time catching up. He leaves for his mission in July to Bahia Blanca Argentina! I'm so excited for him.

8. Monday was just full of lots of driving. It was relaxing and gave me lots of thinking time. Eventually, and unfortunately (just kidding...kind of) we made it back to Rexburg. Back to reality.

9. The Bachelorette started yesterday. Nuff said.

10. I went to a bonfire at the sand dunes last night with Elyse and two of our FHE brothers. There were definitely some good laughs. Shout out to Spencer and John & their swords! Then we went to Kiwi Loco afterwards which is always a good time!

Our ghetto window writing hahaha

You had to be there.

I cannot stand this picture of me. But I forgot to take a better one, so...yeah. At least one of us looks good.

Idaho is beautiful.

Haha um.

Now, please enjoy me making a fool out of myself:

Have a great week everyone!

Week 4

This week was busy and stressful. College is a lot of work! But I love it.

Oh, and just so you know who I'm talking about when I say... Netel, Elyse, Haley, Nahiomi, or Paige, those are my freakin awesome roommates.
This week I...

1. Saw The Great Gatsby with Haley, Nahiomi, and Elyse. It was SO good. The music is awesome too. We're all obsessed! Favorite line from the movie: "You can't repeat the past." "Can't repeat the past? Why, of course you can."

2. Had my first official cheer practice and got my uniform.

3. Went to a Comedy Show on campus with Netel and her friend Andrew. Pretty sure his name was Steven Jones? He was pretty freakin hilarious.

4. Me and my friend Alyssa (on my cheer team!) worked our butts off at the gym after practice one night so we walked to Jamba Juice to reward ourselves.

5. So I have my Communication class on Thursday mornings from 7:00-8:00 AM. (Note to future college students: don't take early classes. Just don't.) I get graded on attendance for that class, so I kind of have to go. Plus I like it. Well, I woke up at 8:00. I was so upset! My teacher has a 5:15-6:15 PM class that we are free to go to if we miss the morning class. Normally, that would be flipping fantastic...but I had cheer practice from 5:00-7:00. And my coach had just had a talk with us about how we need to put cheer before school. Whoopsies! I had to go to the class. So I didn't get to be at cheer for as long as I would have liked. It was not the best day I've ever had.

6. I had a real good conversation with best friend Brooklynn! Shout out to her. She rocks.

7. I skyped with friend Emily last night when she was at my house for a post-prom party! It was a real good time :)

8. My mom sent me a package full of my favorite treats ever... Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal Bars. Heck to the yeah.

9. We had a real cray party in our apartment. Haha. It was rated PG...don't worry! We were just dancing and had a pillow fight.

10. It rained on Friday and I made the mistake of wearing my crazy, bright blue rainboots. It was only a mistake because I was getting so much attention from them. Haha. A random dude came up and commented on my boots and then asked for my number...lesson learned. No bright blue boots at BYU-Idaho.

Me & Peter Parker!!

Me & Nahiomi!

I found this quote on the wall in a guys apartment complex! I love it a lot.

Have a great week everyone! :)

Week 3

Hi guys! Happy Mother's Day! It's my first Mother's Day away from home and it's super weird. Shout out to my Mommy :)

Anyways, last week was pretty great! Today is the start of my 4th week here. That's just crazy to me. I've almost been here for a month! Life goes by so much faster as you get older. Here's what went down this week...

1. Our FHE family was driving back from Idaho Falls and after about 45 minutes, (Idaho Falls to Rexburg is about 30 minutes) we realized we had been driving in the completely wrong direction.

2. So in my science class, if someone's phone goes off during class, that person has to buy everyone doughnuts. Well, my teacher's phone went off and so on Tuesday, my class of 75 students is getting doughnuts. Frick yes.

3. Yesterday I hiked, "R" Mountain with my cousin and his family! That mountain kicked my butt. I felt like a beast afterwards though.

4. Me and my roommate Netel went over to one of her friend's apartment where they were recording a radio show. A dude named Rock Wright (from AZ baby!) sang a song that he wrote and it was pretty freaking amazing. Look him up on Facebook!

5. My mom sent me my piano music, so I've been going upstairs to our piano room and practicing.

6. I got to hang out with one of my very first friends here on Friday for the first time since the first week of school.

7. Watched She's the Man in our theatre room at our apartment. Classic.

8. I tried out for the BYU-I cheer team...and MADE IT! I was so nervous and honestly didn't think I was going to make it onto the team. I'm so grateful I tried out...boy, am I grateful. I am so excited to be able to do something that I love with my whole heart. I honestly thought I'd never be able to cheer again. I'M SO HAPPY :)

9. So The Piano Guys concert was on Thursday at 7:30. Well, my cheer tryouts went until 7:40. So right after I found out I made the cheer team, I had to run to the concert...giving me no time to call my parents and tell them the news! (I didn't even tell them I was trying out! I wanted it to be a surprise.) When I walked into the concert, they were playing one of my favorite songs ever. Love Story Meets Viva La Vida. At my first Youth Conference in 2009, (before high school!) Jon Schmidt came and played for us. I remember hearing that song for the first time and I loved it! I was just thinking about how far I had come since I first heard that song, and I started crying. Haha. That mixed with me being ecstatic about making the cheer team was just making me so emotional. Typical girl.

10. Oh, me and some of my roommates had a funny experience at Walmart. These random guys just came up to us and we had a really great/fantastic/hilarious conversation with them for about 20 minutes. I guess you kinda had to be there.

Beautiful day! :)

The newest addition to my room. <3

Me and E-Love! Hahaha feat. Spencer's sunglasses.

Welcome to the Rexburg Walmart.
We still don't even know their names. Haha.

So that was my week! I hope you all had a great one. :)

Week 2

Okay, I'm going to try really hard to post every week. They're not going to be super long posts every time, because those take forever and make me hate blogging.

So... I haven't posted since my second day of classes. & lots of stuff has happened since then! These weeks are going by super fast and every day seems like a blur. So I'm going to let my pictures do a lot of the talking today...because anyone that knows me, knows I take a ton of pictures.

Icicle spotting on the first day of May...

The only good thing about having a 7:00 class...

Memorable moments of the week:

1. Walking into my living room and seeing my roommates dancing with cereal boxes.
2. Making a new friend named Peter Parker.
3. Making crazy Vines that me and my roommates think are hilarious, but no one else does.
4. The fire alarm going off on the windiest day in Rexburg in the history of ever.
5. Going to the Iron Man 3 premiere with my roommates.
6. Playing with nerf guns in my math class.
7. Doing thumb wars in science class.
8. Getting stopped by a dude on campus who said he was taught to always stop and smell the roses...
9. Randomly seeing one of the families from my home ward in AZ in Deseret Book.
10. Getting asked for my number by the guy selling me ice cream.

Man, there's seriously so much I could write about, but honestly I have no idea where to start. But basically, I've already met so many great people, have already learned so much, have already had way too many awkward experiences to even count, and am already in love with this school. It's seriously so amazing. There's nowhere else I'd rather be!
