Week 8

I'm so glad this week is over! Haha. It was a pretty good week, it was just really long and really stressful.

I signed up for my fall semester classes which is seriously insane... where the heck is this year going?! This semester is just flyyyyin by. And it makes me sad. Because I love it here. And I especially love summer here...I don't want it to end!

No idea who wrote this on our window. Haha!

"REALLY Not BYU-I Approved Clothing" #brbdying

Some crazy stuff went down at FHE and Maddie ended up on the ground! Haha. I have awesome roommates.

What the even heck?

Me and Coley saw The Fault in Our Stars. Holy geez it was good. Excuse me while I go cry.

THIS STUFF IS FROM HELL. Sorry for the language. Haha. I have to drink it for the next 45 days and am questioning my survival. #ew

This picture can't be explained on social media, but here's just a reminder for myself that this happened. Haha

Debatably the best picture I've ever taken.

The Bachelorette. Hot men. Nuff said.

I like her.

I love swings and I just want to swing all day long.

I am a child.

Idaho is the coolest.

Cocoa Bean sugar cookies are a yes.

Unfortunately, Italian sodas from The Hickory are a no. But I might have to get one again because it was cute. Haha.

Obsessed.

You'll be seein this on Insta tomorrow! Photo credit goes to Coley. She's da bestest.

We went to Nature Park and played frisbee golf this week and this view was killlllin me! So in love with these clouds!

Oh my gosh.

AHH.

Shout out to this guy! Words can't even begin to describe how much I love him. I'm so grateful to have such a wonderful example in my life. He calls me his sunshine, but he is definitely mine. I love you forever, Daddy!!! Can't wait to hug you this week.

Week 7

What an awesome week!

I've come to the conclusion that Idaho is my favorite place ever...{and if you would have told me five years ago that those words would EVER come out of my mouth, I probably would have slapped you because I thought you were crazy.} For realz though, I am kind of in love with my life up here. It is definitely not always the easiest ...and Rexburg is most definitely in the middle of nowhere haha, but I love it regardless. Being a student at BYU-Idaho just straight up rocks

I've also come to the conclusion that Idaho has the coolest clouds in the whole world...

Exhibit A:

Exhibit B:

Nuff said.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate this? #anythingstupid

I got a free candy bar this week and that moment just had to be captured:

Also, Cocoa Bean <3 #imreallyhealthy

I went to the chiropractor for the first time ever. It was really weird. I'll be hanging out at this place for a while. Haha.

Some horrifying DI finds:

In my public speaking class this week, we were learning about fear. I got volunteered to go up and do a demonstration... It consisted of me closing my eyes and then sticking my hand into a random cup with mystery stuff in it. Turns out my cup had millworms in it...I screamed a little bit. And by a little bit, I mean a lot.

{Here's a picture of another poor, unfortunate soul in my class who had to stick her hand in a cup of crickets...I would have straight up flipped if I had to do that one. Haha.}

Just because it had been too long...Pizza Pie Cafe <3

On Friday, me and Coley went to a Truman Brothers concert on campus. Kenz Hall (and these awesome rappers) opened:

I had never heard of them before haha, but they were super great!

And not to mention, extremely attractive... (And married which is stupid.)

Oh yeah, and this week my body has decided it hates me, and so that's been kind of sucky. The meds I'm taking for my digestive enzyme whatever problems (haha) are not making me feel good. I thought my insides were going to explode during the middle of the concert. Haha. So after the concert, I just sat around in bed for a few hours while all my friends were out playing a massive game of fugitive. Yahhh, that was kind of a bummer.

Saturday was SO awesome though! Me and some awesome people went out to "Fun Farm Bridge" (??yeah, I don't know) and we went bridge jumping! I did not think I would actually end up doing it, but thanks to some bribing from Coley, it happened. Haha.

But first of all, can we talk about this random moose that was swimming in the water?! ...and then a few minutes later, got out and started chasing a girl?! Hahaha

"There's a mooooose on the looooose!" Glendale North Stake girls, where you at?

I would never get on the very top to save my life.

Round of applause to these guys that did...haha

Coley is cute.

Ohh my gosh.

The jump wasn't even that bad... it was the water that killed me! It was so flippin cold!! Neither of us could breathe. Haha. Shout out to Scott for saving our lives and helping us out of the water and then saving our lives again when a random snake was about to eat us. Haha just kidding. It was actually eating a frog. But I flipped.

Awesome people.

I got a little package today from my family which makes my heart so happy!!

My junior year, one of my teachers had us write a letter to ourselves and she just sent them out! I died. It was so entertaining. When I opened it and saw that I had given myself 20 dollars, there were literal tears. Haha I love myself so much!!

This picture was in the envelope too. I died when I saw what I wrote to myself on the back.

Hahaha.

Oooookay, well that's enough for this week. This post took way too long to write. But it makes me happy that I actually have fun things to blog about! Haha.

(I use that line way too much, but it's just too fitting! Haha.)

I hope your week is w o n d e r f u l. :)

Week 6

Well, if you were wondering what I did this week, it was this...

Mostly because of these...

The medicine the doctor gave me after the accident knocks me out real good. Haha ...which is kind of awesome, but kind of not awesome. I think I've been sleeping more than I've been awake this week ... and that would be super great if I didn't have anything to do, but I do, sooo... haha it's been really difficult trying to get everything done. Very stressful.

Since all I've really been doing is sleeping and attempting homework, I don't have a whole lot to write about this week. So this post isn't going to be very exciting. But I think only a total of 4 people read this anyways, so it's okay. Haha.

I got some sweet flowers delivered to me which made me super happy. Definitely one of the highlights of my week.

Me, Alyssa, and Coley went to a party on Friday night. I really wanted to dance, but my back killed. Haha. Turns out it's really difficult to jump up and down when your back is all jacked up. So that party didn't last too long for us! Instead we went back to our apartment and ate pizza and watched a movie.

Hahaha I'm not going to explain this picture...

I've been having stomach (or so I thought..) problems for a while now and have been going to the doctor to get tests done and I FINALLY figured out what's wrong with me! The fancy name for it is Colonic Dysbiosis. Basically my digestive system just has issues. So I got a crap ton of medicine to take for that. I'm just crossing my fingers it actually works! It'll take about 3 months or so to be completely better.

Then I also found out I have some mild food allergies to a few random foods (blueberries, cherries, garlic, tomatoes...) and so I can only eat those things once every four days. Also I'm severely allergic to paprika, but I don't even know what foods have paprika in them...so if anyone knows, you should definitely let me know! Haha.

Finger painting happened, and then most of it ended up on my face! Haha.

UMM CAN WE TALK ABOUT THIS

<3

So that was my week! Probably the fastest week of my life.

Do you know what's insane? This semester is halfway over. I'M SORRY WUT. Like seriously... huh?!
So mid-terms are happening, which means stress, which means I'm questioning my survival. Everything is happening all at once. I really think that the only thing keeping me going is the fact that I get to see my family in 15 days. I could not be more excited. YEEEE :)

I've been thinking a lot about angels ever since the accident happened. There is no doubt in my mind that we were protected that day. And for that, I am so grateful.

"This great Being, of infinite power and goodness, whom we cannot think of his mighty attributes without sinking in our own personal insignificance, He is our Father; and He has greater affection than we can comprehend by Father's love for His children. As a result of that great love, He has sent heavenly beings to watch over us while we live on earth... Do we realize in our daily walk and work we are not alone, but that angels attend us whoever our duty causes us to go?"

Love you all.

Lauren
